The ABCs of Motivation

ABC of motivation
Written by Sulaiman

Pain and suffering are often the catalysts for change. When you fail a class, you realize you need to study more often. When you see someone else succeed, you want that same feeling of accomplishment. This all leads to motivation. Without motivation, the human race probably wouldn’t get anything done!

The world can be a very negative place, but today we’re looking at the positive side of life with these tips on what motivation is and how it can be part of your life to achieve your hopes and dreams.

A – Achieve

Achieve your dreams. Do this by avoiding negative people, places, and things. When you feel yourself slipping away from your dreams, remind yourself of something Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

B – Believe

If you’re going to believe in something, believe in yourself and believe in what you can accomplish.

C – Consider

Always consider things from every angle and remember that motivation comes from determination. In order to understand life, you must see the sun from both sides.

D – Don’t

Don’t give up. Thomas Edison failed over a thousand times before he perfected the light bulb. This should be one history lesson you never forget.

E – Enjoy

Love what you do and success will come. If you enjoy what you’re doing, motivation will be instantly available.

F – Family and Friend

Don’t leave out family and friends in pursuit of your dreams. Keep them even closer.

G – Give

Give and when you’re done giving, give some more.

H – Hang

Always hang on to your dreams. Decide what they are and make them your North star.

I – Ignore

Ignore negativity and negative people. Ignore those who try to destroy your dreams, otherwise known as dream dashers. Stay as far away from these toxic people as possible.

J – Just

Just be you. Don’t compare yourself to others. The key to your success is to always be yourself no matter what.

K – Keep

No matter what, keep trying. Remember Edison? A motivated person like him has no choice but to succeed.

L – Learn

Most importantly, learn to love and forgive yourself. Self-love is a driving force behind motivation.

M – Make

Be a person who gets things done and makes things happen. You need to put in the work to achieve your dreams!

N – Never

Whatever you do, never lie, cheat, or steal. Always play the game fairly or this will come back to you and destroy your dreams.

O – Open

Keep your eyes wide open so you never miss an opportunity. Also, see things for what they are instead of what they should be.

P – Practice

It’s true what they say – practice makes perfect. So, be sure to practice motivation.

Q – Quitters

If you quit, you lose because quitters never win. It’s time to choose your destiny. Quitter or winner?

R – Ready

If you’re prepared, you’re ready. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

S – Stop

Stop procrastinating and make your dreams come true.

T – Take

It’s time to take control of your life and your dreams. You will need self-reliance, self-discipline, and self-control to be successfully motivated.

U – Understand

Understand yourself and others. Be a good listener to get this done and like anything else, it takes practice.

V – Visualize

Visualize your dreams. A great way to do this is with visualization exercises you find online. This is a powerful tool to help you achieve your dreams.

W – Want

You have to want it, otherwise, you’ll keep making excuses not to do it. Either that or you’re scared. Feel the fear and do it anyway. If you want it badly enough, motivation should flow right to you.

X – X Factor

The X Factor is what makes you and your dreams different from others. When you are motivated, you tend to stand out by doing extra and doing it well.

Y – You

Never forget that you’re unique. There’s only one of you. No one else looks like you, talks like you, acts like you, is you. So when you’re striving to make your dreams a success, remember to value yourself and your dreams.

Z – Zero

Have singleness of purpose by zeroing in on your dreams. By making them a big part of your life now, they will only grow into bigger parts of your life later on. Now go for it!
